The Faculty of Statistics at TU Dortmund University seeks candidates for a University Professorship (W3) "Econometrics and Statistics"

to be appointed as soon as possible. The professorship is expected to represent the subject of Econometrics and Statistics in research and teaching.

Our faculty is the unique autonomous Faculty of Statistics in the
German-speaking region, offering a versatile research environment by
managing and participating in several Collaborative Research Centers (SFBs)
in the fields of Statistics, Computer Science and Engineering.

We are seeking a personality with an outstanding academic record in
econometrics and statistical method development

Applicants should be qualified and willing to contribute to collaborative
research projects within and outside TU Dortmund University.

Successful acquisition of third-party funds is required. Experience in the
acquisition of collaborative research projects is an asset.

An appropriate contribution to the department’s curriculum, in particular in
the newly established master program "Econometrics" – in the medium term in
German and English language – is expected.

The successful candidate will possess social and leadership skills and be
willing to be involved in academic self-governance.

Preconditions for employment are specified in § 36 and § 37 HG NRW (law
governing universities in NRW).
