The Department of Biostatistics at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute (EPBI) at the University of Zurich (UZH) invites applications for:
1. a four-year PhD position in Epidemiology and Biostatistics financed by the SNSF,
2. a four-year Postdoctoral position financed by the SNSF.

These PhD/PostDoc positions arepart of the SNSF project led by PD PhD Malgorzata Roos, and the employment is for four years, commencing on April 1, 2025. Successful applicants should be highly motivated and have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and programming.

The offer includes a dynamic and attractive work and research environment focused on reproducibility and best-practice statistical methods. The team consists of experienced and junior researchers from diverse backgrounds who mutually support each other through their complementary expertise. This large research community includes Postdoctoral researchers and PhD students in the Department of Biostatistics at EBPI and in the Department of Mathematics at UZH. Joint UZH and ETH seminars are regularly organized. Flexible working hours and home office days are possible.

The review of applications will start on November 1, 2024, and continue until the position is filled.
