The annual Applied Statistics conference provides an opportunity for researchers in statistics, data analysts, and other professionals from various statistical and related fields to come together, present their research, and learn from each other. A four days program consists of invited paper presentations, contributed paper sections from diverse topics, and starts with a workshop. Cross-discipline and applied paper submissions are especially welcome.

The Conference of European Statistics Stakeholders 2018 will be held in Bamberg, Germany on 18-19 October 2018. It is co-organised by Eurostat, the European Central Bank, the European Statistical Advisory Committee, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Federation of European National Statistical Societies, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, the German Statistical Society, the Deutsche Bundesbank and the University of Bamberg.

The Letter supporting Andreas Georgiou, October 2017

FENStatS in occasion of the ESD wishes also to underline the importance of the independence of Official Statistics, expressing deep concern over the legal proceedings against Andreas Georgiou, the former president of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), and other senior ELSTAT officials.
A letter of concern signed by the Presidents of 23 European Statistical Societies has been sent to the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Alexis Tsipras.
